Thumbs up

To All Jim & Joe especially. I will take the hit on this one.. When I first posted I didn’t write the correct title for the thread. I made up a title off the top of my head. A post like this from the a large news paper should be posted the way it reads. From now on I will be more careful.. We need people like Jim & Joe both are very smart and intelligent people with a lot of logic and good information.

Jim has done a lot for the Philly Chapter in the past and we still to this day talk about what Jim did for us . Jim was pioneer who helped get the Philly Chapter on the map. Joe , just amazes me with his dedication, logic and information of the facts .

Lets all be friend s again, we must all stick together it’s not over yet. only the beginning.

It's all good.

Bob, I may have posted the "correct" title but you posted the article, which allows the readers to quickly and easily see what it's about. I posted a link which can irritate readers into not wanting to follow it to read the article.
And about being a pioneer, you and Sonny are the Philly Chapter, I was just part of what you two created. Thank you for all of your years of service.
To address Joe, I sat and talked with you for a a couple of hours after I ran and was trounced in the MHSAA election. I have great respect for you and all the work you provide for our cause. There are too many people to thanks each one for the work they have done but I thank each and every one of you in this group "Thank You!!!" I'm truly honored to know all of you that I have met and spoken with.

Smile We are brothers and sisters

Jim,
I personally appreciate your latest post when you said:

We are all brothers and sisters (Mr. Hershey called us HIS children which makes us brothers and sisters). All of us are together in this effort for reforms . Thanks for your support, Jim.

Yes, and I remember vividly when Jim ran for the MHSAA BoD and wish he would have won and though he didn't, in many different respects, he did because of his commitment to our founder. Jim did it for all the right reasons...none of which were self-serving like most others.

Thanks again Jim for the sacrifice you made.

Question

If we didn't have these high priced, over paid members of the Pennsylvania State Government on the Hershey payroll, then things would be alot different as far as the raping of the Trust and School. The real problem is that Hershey is too close to the state Capitol and this way the crooks don't have that far to go and pillage and rape it. Now if the School was located lets say in Erie , it may be a different story.

Thumbs down I'm confused

There are two statements in the article that sounds confusing to me. The statements are:
------------------------------
The school also has spent millions more dollars on outside financial advisers, McNamara said.

The Hershey organization is complex, including three for-profit companies: The giant candy-maker Hershey Co., the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Co., which manages Hersheypark, and the Hershey Trust Co., the private bank that manages the huge endowment that operates the Hershey School. Each company has its own board
-------------------------------

If the Hershey Trust Co. manages the huge endowment that operates the Hershey School, why is it necessary for the Milton Hershey School to spend millions more dollars on outside financial advisors ? To me, it sounds like another fleecing of the endowment.
